Phila Hoopes began as a reporter, and writing magazine articles – personality profiles, social issues, medical news – was her first professional love. She has seen the view from both sides of the editor’s desk, and has been published and/or syndicated nationally and locally in Women’s Adventure Magazine, FL Primo Magazine, The Jewish Times, Maryland State Bar Association Journal, The Country Chronicle, Tres Chic Magazine, The Baltimore Messenger, and others.
Here is a small sampling of her articles:

- Jewish Museum Honors Summer Camp Experience (Baltimore Jewish Times)
- This Tarantelle is No Wedding Dance (FL Primo Magazine)
